Our story
Gay Gordons Edinburgh started in September 2009 to offer Scottish Country Dancing to the LGBTQIA+ community and their friends.
Our club is run by a committee (see details below) and our AGM is typically held in April.
We have given performances at ceilidhs in the Assembly Rooms Edinburgh. We have an active group of dancers who participate in other local dance groups, as well as new dancers who are learning Scottish Country Dancing for the first time.
We offer a warm welcome to everyone. Our only requirement is that if you come to one of our classes or ceilidhs, you should be happy to dance with everyone. We aim to be totally inclusive, to welcome others and have fun through dancing.
We maintain strong links with the Gay Gordons communities in Manchester and London.
We are affiliated with LEAP Sports.
